Guatemala Bella Carmona – Antigua Valley
Sweet • Volcanic • Exceptionally Refined
Guatemala Bella Carmona is one of the most celebrated regional blends in Central America, representing the rich volcanic terroir of the historic Antigua Valley. Produced from 18 meticulously managed farms under the direction of fourth-generation coffee producer Luis Pedro Zelaya Zamora, Bella Carmona has become synonymous with consistency, sweetness, and exceptional cup quality. Each harvest is carefully selected to showcase the classic characteristics that have made Antigua coffees among the most sought-after in the world.
The farms lie between 1,500 and 1,650 meters above sea level in the Sacatepéquez department, where nutrient-rich volcanic soils, cool mountain temperatures, and carefully managed shade trees create ideal conditions for growing Bourbon-based coffees. Fully washed and patio dried, the coffee develops remarkable clarity while preserving its natural sweetness and elegant acidity.
Processing takes place at the renowned Bella Vista Wet Mill, where every lot is electronically tracked from the farm through fermentation, drying, and milling. Each day's production is cupped individually before being approved for the Bella Carmona blend, ensuring remarkable consistency and complete traceability. This dedication to quality has made Bella Carmona one of Guatemala's most respected specialty coffees and a favorite among discerning roasters worldwide.
Air-roasted at Passport Coffee, Guatemala Bella Carmona develops exceptional sweetness with notes of milk chocolate, caramel, and marzipan, complemented by bright citrus and a smooth, elegant finish. It is a beautifully balanced coffee that highlights everything coffee lovers appreciate about the Antigua Valley.
