Inspired by espressos from the Northern Coast of Italy, this espresso is known for its bold crema and distinctive caramel taste. Portofino Espresso offers you the best of both worlds: authentic Italian espresso with fresh roast quality. Also available in decaf.
Coffee Profile: This blend is a mix of Ethiopia, Costa Rica, Guatemala, and Brazil. The variety in flavor profiles produces a complex medium-light espresso. Notes from each of these roasts play a part, with caramel being the star.

The Portofino bean does make terrific latte coffee. Despite the fact that the espresso shots do have many positive qualities, they do possess a very slight bitter taste. I am curious to find what espresso beans Passport produce that leans more towards a smoother taste without the hint of bitterness -- I am eager to find out. In the meantime, I am likely to buy the Portofino beans again, until I find an alternative Passport bean that caters for this minor adjustment.
As brewing has nice cocoa smell. Taste is smooth medium strength

Pirtofiino has been a regular espresso whole bean order at Passport for 8 years! Rich crema, great medium flavor, good as straight shot, with milk, or occasional American.
Great with milk. Nice dark chocolate notes.
