Holy basil, tulasi or tulsi as it is commonly known, is an aromatic perennial plant in the family Lamiaceae. Tulsi, Hindu for "The Incomparable One," is native to the India and cultivated throughout the Southeast Asia and Africa. This herb has a long history in eastern medicine with many claimed health benefits. With its fairly strong but not overpowering flavor, you immediately notice freshly-torn herb and spice flavors, rounded out with a smooth finish. Also use in many cooking dishes for it's light spiciness. All our imported teas start with the finest ingredients. We custom blend and infuse our teas by hand.

Tea sold by the weight loose leaf.
