Holy basil, tulasi or tulsi as it is commonly known, is an aromatic perennial plant in the family Lamiaceae. Tulsi, Hindu for "The Incomparable One," is native to the India and cultivated throughout the Southeast Asia and Africa.

Flavor Profile:

* Holy basil (tulsi): Fresh, herbaceous, slightly spicy with subtle clove and pepper notes, and a smooth, rounded finish

Brewing Recommendations:

* Water temperature: 90–100°C (194–212°F)

* Tea quantity: 1 tsp (2g) per 6–8 oz cup

* Steeping time: 5–7 minutes

Usage:

* Great for evening relaxation, wellness routines, herbal tea blends, culinary infusions, or as a base for caffeine-free herbal remedies

Hot Brewing method: Start with 10 oz of fresh water. Use tea portions and brewing temperatures below

  • Green Teas 
    • Amount - 1 - 2  teaspoon
    • Temperature- 170-180 F
    • Time - 2-3  min.                    

Iced Tea - Double the amount of tea using the chart above. After brewing hot tea, immediately pour over a glass of ice. Add more ice if needed.                       

Storage - The best way to store tea is at room temperature in an airtight tea canister. Keep tea away from heat, light, air, and moisture.

Love it. I need to juice some ginger, lemon and add a little touch of sage honey to my hot tea to make it perfectly wonderful! Try it!

Great tea

I bought as holy basil is so good for the body ! I drink it with a little Jerusalem sage a friend gave me. Little raw local honey and fresh lemon squeeze , perfect!
